A workout plan will be core to your success. Haphazard training will lead to zero results or haphazard results at best. My workout plans are created with nearly 2 decades of experience, I use them ALL personally along with hundreds of happy clients. Most my clients lose 1kg per week, without fail on my plans on weight loss plans and those looking to put on mass get high quality lean results. I have something for everything else in between. Your first session with me will always be plan creation / demonstration and run through so you have something to work on when not working directly with me 1-2-1.

Resistance training

Resistance comes in many forms. Swimming, biking, running, gym machines, free weights, bodyweight to name a few… To become a well rounded athlete we should be aiming to conquer as many forms of resistance as possible. I will guide you through all forms of resistance training for incredible results and increased confidence as you take down multiple disciplines each week.

Free weights is not something that should be feared. I say this because at the young age of 14, I started lifting weights in a commercial gym, and I was scared of them. I remember wondering “How to deadlift?” “How do I squat for power?” more than 25 years since I was that 14 year old boy… I pride myself on building the best foundations possible for all my clients. So much so that we have dedicated, structured sessions based off the squat and deadlift and many more sessions tailored around barbell work, dumbell work, splits, periodisation, advanced techniques and more. NUTRITIONAL GUIDANCE.

My qualifications, specifically my diploma in personal training covers modules in Nutritional guidance. More so my own personal experience of eating correctly to be a track athlete representing at a national level, my nutrition to get into the longest and hardest training in NATO, my nutrition as a triathlete, cyclist, ultra runner and weight lifter at 10-12% body-fat all year round is worth its weight in gold. If you want a 6 pack - you need to understand nutrition inside out. If you want to excell in business… you need to understand nutrition inside out. If you simply want to be lean and healthy, you need to understand nutrition. If you think you understand nutrition but you don’t look the way you really want to look… then you DON’T understand nutrition and or you simply aren’t executing it. Let me show you how its done. This is also the key to many of my clients losing 20+ kilograms, 25+ kilograms and more! Lastly if you do have excess body fat, you are actively reducing your lifespan (anywhere from 3-10 years as per NHS website). Let’s get it done right, once and for all.

cardiovascular training

Your heart is the most important thing in your body. Without one, you are dead and the worse condition it is in, the quicker you will move to death. Your heart’s resting heart rate will dictate how long you live. VO2max will also dictate how long you live. Your cardio recovery will also dictate your life span. Weight lifting improves the hearts functions on a minor scale compared to cardiovascular work (the clue is in the name!) Social media has created a generation of men and women desperate to look a certain way rather than being a certain way. This of course appeals. Its easy to turn up to an air conditioned gym every couple of days, do a set and then scroll on a phone, repeat. It’s hard to run 6 days a week or do 3 hours per day of cardio to compete at high levels. The base truth is - athletes train every day and “look fit” because they simply are - they are not trying to look like anything. Trying to look fit via weights, supplements, medical procedures or any other method is smoke and mirrors. You cant run, swim, hike, play with your kids, grandkids for hours on end fully and free… without cardio. If you wish to live long and well, cardio will be required. Let me show you how to get it done the right way.

boxing fitness.

Free, brand new boxing gloves included - just turn up and learn! Just like playing piano or chess boxing is a skill…and just as it feels awesome to play your first classical piece or checkmate your first opponent… it feels awesome to learn how to de stress in a positive way, learn a new mode of hand-eye coordination and burn some serious calories whilst your at it. I have yet to find a client who hasn’t loved fitness boxing. Also, if you really don’t feel its for you, you can simply progress your fitness through the many other means listed above.

workout progression

My product is all about progression and has been tweaked for nearly over 2 decades to give a seamless progression to some serious life changing results. A solid base of push pull through resistance will formed. Then you will find progression through free weights. You will be introduced to hybrid training techniques. Then we delve into periodisation. Then advance techniques. This might sound overwhelming but planning and periodisation is for me to worry about - you show up, and get results (and if your curious as to how it all works then I will happy chat all session about the science). Most importantly however is that your progression is done at a pace that is as fast as it can be, whilst being safe. I have no want to “keep” clients (even though half my clients are 5+ years with me) - I don’t believe in trying to feed breadcrumbs of information, or sell you more and more courses of training. I have had a successful career as a young man - personal training is not a job or means of money for me, but a passion project. My blocks of training are 4 weeks long, and they are planned as such as great stepping off platforms at any time to stop and train on what I have given you, so come and get involved there is never any pressure to get started or take a break!
